A moment from the Trinidad and Tobago National Sprint and Olympic Triathlon Championships 2014, held at the Slipway, Chaguaramas on 5th of July, 2014. Two individual competitors, Aliya Drakes and Bruce Mc Intosh, after having completed an hour and forty-five minutes of arduous swimming, cycling and running, run hand-in-hand to their finish line, ending their shared challenge together.
Despite being ‘rivals’ (as far as the race timer goes), with their action they inadvertently bridged, not only a generation gap, but also gender and racial divides, all in one intuitive moment.
